What We Believe

WHAT WE BELIEVE:

1.) THE SCRIPTURES - We believe the Holy Scriptures, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, are all equally and fully the verbally inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings concerning historical and scientific facts, infallible in moral and spiritual teachings, and being God-breathed are God's complete and final revelation. They are the final authority for faith and life, containing all things necessary for salvation and for our practical instruction

(Matt. 5:18; Luke 24:27, 44; John 16:12-13; Rom. 15:4; 1 Cor.2:13; 2 Tim.3:16-17; 2 Pet.1:20-21).

2.) THE GODHEAD - We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections are worthy of precisely the same homage, confidence and obedience

(Duet. 6:4; John 1:14; Acts 5:3-4; 2 Cor. 13:14).

3.) THE PERSON AND WORK OF CHRIST - We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men (Luke 1:35; John 1:1, 2, 14, 18).

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our complete redemption through His death on the cross alone as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and, that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (Luke 24:39; Rom.3:24-25; Eph. 1:7; 1 Pet. 1:3-5; 2:24).

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God the Father where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate (Acts 1:9; Rom. 8:34; 1 Tim. 2:5; Heb. 6:19-20; 7:24; 9:24a; 1 John 2:1-2).

4.) THE PERSON AND WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT - We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person possessing all the attributes of deity; and, that in essence He is equally God (Acts 5:3-4; 2 Cor. 13:14). We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and, that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration and sanctification, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling equally and permanently every believer. and sealing them unto the day of redemption (John 16:8-11; Rom. 8:9; 1 Cor. 6:11; 12:12-14; 2 Cor. 3:6; Eph. 1:13-14). We believe that every un-regenerated person, the moment they exercise faith in Christ as Savior, immediately possesses the Holy Spirit (Rom. 5:5; 8:9; 1 Cor. 3:16; 6:19; Gal. 4:6; 1 Thess. 4:8). We believe that He is the Divine Teacher who guides believers into all truth; that He sovereignly bestows a spiritual gift to each believer; and, that it is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled with the Spirit (John 16:13; Eph. 5:18; 1 John 2:20, 27).

5.) SALVATION - We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to sinful man by grace and received solely by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who accomplished complete redemption by His substitutionary death and shedding of His precious blood, and, that no repentance, no feeling, no good resolution, no sincere efforts, no submissions to rules and regulations, no degree of reformation however great, no attainments in morality however high, no culture however attractive, no baptism or other ordinance however administered, nor any or all of these together, can add in the very least degree to the merit of the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ upon the cross (John 3:5,18; Eph. 1:7; 2:8-10; Phil. 3:4-9; Titus 3:5;1 Pet. 1:18, 19, 23).      IT'S ALL ABOUT THE CROSS!
