The Church's Role (In Mystery)
There seems to be more confusion today than ever before as to the purpose of God's Church.
But make no mistake, this is not a debate because God's Word is somehow unclear. In fact, it's quite the opposite.
Ephesians 3:10 Paul tells us at least one of our God-ordained purposes: to make known the "manifold wisdom of God." This wisdom or mystery, in context, is Jesus Christ Himself. In other words, it's the job of the Church to make Jesus known.
Now, this is more than just name recognition. We're also to make known the work, commands, and call of Christ.
One way Paul teaches the Ephesians to fulfill this purpose is to live out Biblical unity. Living in a oneness between SAVED Jew and Gentile, slave and free, male and female, etc. According to the scriptures, the Church declares the mysteries of God through our love for one another.
I'd love you to search the scriptures for yourself to discover the manifold purpose of God's Church. Although you'll never find the modern constructs of today's "church" what you will see will set you firmly back on the path of purpose to be used by God for His glory!
