In this week's blog series I wanna talk about gossip and the fact that if we don't kill it, it will kill us. I know I'm not alone in feeling the effects of gossip. But I would also guess that I'm not alone in being affected by gossip. Meaning that it has changed who I am as I relate with people. The Bible says a lot about gossip and we're going to take 3 key ideas and discuss them in further detail. These ideas are as follows: 1. Why we like to hear gossip. 2. What The Bible says about the character of a gossip. And 3. What The Bible says about the character of those who entertain (listen to) gossip. In preparation for our discussions please read the following scriptures and jot down any notes or ideas that really stand out to you. Feel free to share those in the comment section below or send an email to The words of a whisperer are like dainty morsels, And they go down into the innermost parts of the body. Proverbs 18:8 A perverse man spreads strife, And a slanderer separates intimate friends. Proverbs 16:28 An evildoer listens to wicked lips; A liar pays attention to a destructive tongue. Proverbs 17:4
